Is this a heron? I'm not sure, anyway, he has been about quite a bit, feeding off the shopping trolleys and dead bodies which float down the Grand Canal.
that looks a bit like a grey heron which is I think Ireland's largest bird - though he would usually have longer legs, maybe the waters a bit deep?
