Trial run
This is just to test my ability to take a photo and use the blogger.com editing facilities.

Aim
My aim is to take a photo each day in 2009 and post it here, sometimes with a brief comment.
I've seen a few of these 365 photo-a-day projects on various blogs and websites and they've always seemed to be such a good idea, especially when the photos show the day-to-day life of the person taking them.
My aim is to get into a routine of photographing interesting, everyday things, and not be left thinking: "If only I had my camera." Plus, the discipline will be good. I think. My track record in having New Year resolutions going past Easter is not very good, but let's see what happens this year.
The photos aren't always going to be very profound. In fact, the aim is to take photos of small details of my year. It's fairly likely that a few of them will be taken after a beer or they won't work as well as I'd like, but hopefully there'll be one or two which will be interesting.
Sometimes there'll be a comment or an explanation; sometimes there'll just be a photo. Sometimes, it'll be obvious why I took the photo; other times the photo won't mean much to anyone.
But in either case, let's see how it works. The first photo will be taken on 1st January 2009.
The next step is to actually buy a camera and learn how to upload photos.
