This is (marginally) interesting. Irish election posters are probably the worst in the world. They usually contain an enormous, airbrushed photo of the candidate or the party leader and a large logo of the party and the candidate's name. They're strapped to every lamp-post in the country and are generally absolutely useless.

The posters never contain references to policies or even seem to contain any writing. So it's quite refreshing to see that this guy has written at least a paragraph outlining what he thinks.

Also note that he has a Facebook page. I think this is Fine Gael moving into 2007.

More election posters as they arrive - actually, this is going to be inevitable because it's going to be impossible to take a photo in Dublin without capturing half a dozen of these monstrosities.

Everywhere you go in Dublin in the summer, you see tourists taking photos of Georgian doors. And for very good reason - they're part of Dublin life. These rather mangy examples very rarely get photographed by tourists and I felt a bit sorry for them.
